What has been done.
Functional and graphic design of site. The objective
was to develop a site for Claudia Martinez Campos, visual
artist, oriented toward the sale of its work (items) but keeping
the typology of a typical artist’s site, making a contrast
between this site and sites for design objects or furniture
stores.
First, considering this artist’s work, a
large segment inquiry was carried out which covered three
areas: visual arts, furniture stores, and zen culture.
Communication and graphic and communication guidelines were
set down on the basis of this initial research, and the site
was developed accordingly.
With a minimalist style and few visual resources, the site
succeeds in highlighting the artist’s work (its three-dimensional
character was underscored with the use of shading) and creating
a zen-like atmosphere.
The site was cleared of unwanted content, introductions were
left out – the works are accessed directly – and
the structure was narrowed down to 3 parts: the works in focus,
other works and the artist’s biography.

Values.
The site favors and highlights the artist’s work. It
turns objects into saleable pieces while retaining their cultural
character. It summarizes the values meant to be transmitted
and is positioned in the desired segment with a high degree
of differentiation.
